Quick Doff Hood for M40 gas masks. This hood assembly is made with butyl rubber coated cloth per MIL-C-51251. The hood is used with the M40/42 Series Masks and protects the head and shoulders area of the wearer. The hood contains reinforcement strips, straps, and an elastic cord. These components are either sewn or bonded to the hood QDH is U.S. Military issue for the M40/42 Series Protective Mask Gas Mask .
